Clara just said on stream that the generation 1 JP members, as opposed to the JP generation 1 members, would now be known as generation zero. So EN has generations 1, 2, and 3, whereas JP has generations 0 (formerly generation 1) and generation 1. Invaders are Invaders. Got it?

The EN side of vtubing is moving entirely away from numbering, and it has been only recently that the JP side has hopped along as well, that's why it's "holoX" and not gen 6, "ReGLOSS" and not gen 7, etc. Most likely Kevin hasn't had the time to brainstorm a meeting where they'll christen the older JPs with Iori as a subunit. Or not, the whole "each batch must have a unique codename" is intrinsically autistic and banal.

Holo did it in EN to not promote "senpai culture" which is dumb but whatever. Now they seem to be pivoting to generational brand recognition, having each gen be its own thing.

It might be autistic and banal, but it's also effective. Names and titles of groups are far more effective at staying in the mind than numbers and it's also easier to create memory associations with titles than numbers too.
I try to keep up to date with all PC talents but actively watch (almost) all streams from a handful, from different gens.
Well, I definitely have no idea what any of them are saying, but it's nice to see the original JPs having fun with the new JPs. Would be nice to see more collabs between them, whether it be large ones like this or smaller ones between some of them.
Phase Connect has absolutely amazing chemistry between the talents. I guess locking talents away in the basement for nine months really does work.
Pico and Michiru are playing Rust on TGS server. Hopefully they can socialise with others.
