I am happy it's mostly the members themselves keeping themselves busy because they have fun being in Hololive and want to set up big projects to give back to their fans. They could all just opt to Vshojo it and do the 1 mandatory dance in a year and just coast off with easy streams and that's it. But the fact that the majority doesn't choose that mode of life really makes me appreciate them even more.

Niji's approach of hiring more streamers than I could count then only communicating with them through three layers of Japanese corpo autism made this an inevitability; they should have managers who're familiar enough with the English-speaking landscape to proactively keep an eye out for red flags. Anyone in the public eye needs to keep the more easily-offended parties at arm's reach, to stay safely outside of the radius when they inevitably blow up.
Hololive are pretty good with this, for the most part - while being "politically neutral" is a risk in itself since politispergs will project their own beliefs onto the streamer then get mad when they step out of line, there'll at least be enough diversity in the audience's political views that these outcries will be contained in little cliques - as opposed to having an audience consisting solely of leftists who'd all get mad that they called a femboy a "trap" or some shit at the same time.
